Convert fuel economy between mpg, km/L and L/100km using the correct inverse relationship for L/100km.
How to use this converter
What this category measures
Fuel economy can be expressed as distance traveled per volume, such as miles per gallon or kilometers per liter, or as fuel used per distance, such as liters per 100 kilometers. These are reciprocal descriptions of the same efficiency idea.
Where these conversions help
Use this converter when comparing vehicle labels, road-trip estimates, fleet reports, fuel tests, or specifications from different countries. Keep the regional definition of mpg in mind: US liquid gallons and imperial gallons are not the same volume.
How results are calculated
This category is intentionally non-linear when L/100km is involved. Lower L/100km means higher economy, so RulerUnit uses an inverse relationship rather than a simple multiplier and preserves that direction when units are swapped.
